and the NCS relation identities (hue [phi], saturation [m], delta [], and beta []). Graphical representations of these comparisons are demonstrated in the NCS triangle and the NCS 3D color space. We have demonstrated through our experimental outcomes the strong chromatic integration of the urban settlements in their natural landscape, the original chromatic character as being a constituent of the heritage values of the Mozabite Ksourian landscape, as well as its possible use in the urban restoration processes

Across cultures, people associate colours with emotions. Here, we test the hypothesis that one driver of this cross-modal correspondence is the physical environment we live in. We focus on a prime example - the association of yellow with joy, - which conceivably arises because yellow is reminiscent of life-sustaining sunshine and pleasant weather. If so, this association should be especially strong in countries where sunny weather is a rare occurrence. We analysed yellow-joy associations of 6625 participants from 55 countries to investigate how yellow-joy associations varied geographically, climatologically, and seasonally. We asses . . .sed the distance to the equator, sunshine, precipitation, and daytime hours. Consistent with our hypotheses, participants who live further away from the equator and in rainier countries are more likely to associate yellow with joy. We did not find associations with seasonal variations. Our findings support a role for the physical environment in shaping the affective meaning of colour

İşitsel konfor iç mekân tasarımı sürecinde ele alınması gereken tasarım değişkenleri içinde yer almaktadır. Öznel ve nesnel açıdan işitsel konfor parametreleri, hacmin geometrik özellikleri, malzeme seçimi, iç mekân tasarım sürecinde bir arada ele alınmalıdır. Bu çalışma, bu yaklaşımdan yola çıkarak tasarlanmıştır. Müziğin iç mekân tasarımındaki yeri ve önemini araştırmak için kontrollü bir çalışma düzeneği oluşturulmuştur. Burada amaç, müziğin mekân tasarımında etkin bir öge olarak kullanılmasını sayısal olarak ölçmek ve öznel parametrelerin bu anlamda somut olarak değerlendirilmesidir. Chopin’in Marriage d’Amour adıyla bilinen Spr . . .ing Waltz adlı eserinin senkronize olarak dinletilerek yürütüldüğü çalışmada sonuçlar, SPSS 21.0 istatistik programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Pearson Ki Kare testi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada belirlilik ve açıklık, canlılık, düzgün yayılmışlık, samimilik, sıcaklık ve denge ölçülen akustik öznel parametrelerdir. Kullanıcıların cinsiyeti ile mekân algısı -işitsel konfor değerlendirmeleri arasında bir ilişki olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Müzik enstrümanı çalanlar ile mekân algısı -işitsel konfor değerlendirmeleri arasında sıcaklık parametresi için anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuş, ölçülen diğer öznel akustik parametreler için anlamlı bir sonuç bulunmamıştır. Müzik-mekân tasarımı ve işlevle ilişkisi bağlamında katılımcılardan dinledikleri müziği bir mekânla ilişkilendirmeleri istendiğinde çıkan sonuçlar, müziğin bizi bu anlamda etkilediğini göstermiştir. Farklı geometrik formlar mekân-müzik eseri eşleştirmesi açısından değerlendirildiğinde daire formu en fazla tercih edilen form olmuştur. Kavramsal anlamda geometrik formlarla müzik eseri arasında bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. İç mimari projelerde kavramdan mekân tasarımına ulaşan, kavram üretim sürecinde bu durum etkin bir rol oynamaktadır

This paper aims to achieve visual comfort conditions with less energy consumption at a university library. In this regard, a lighting design project is proposed for BUU faculty of architecture library which is an additional unit to the existing building in the pre-design phase and planning to be implemented. In this scope, artificial lighting results and daylighting availability of the library space is analyzed with a lighting simulation tool. Accordingly, solar gains were examined and the annual energy loads were calculated depending on a variety of façade shading configurations via a building energy simulation program.
