This article aims to investigate “ecosickness” in Gain (1998) by Richard Powers and Berji Kristin: Tales from the Garbage Hills (1984) by Latife Tekin in the light of Ecosicknesss: In Contemporary U.S. Fiction (2014) by Heather Houser. The analysis of the novels is remarkable, especially in terms of their underlining the mutuality of environment and health. Concerning the concept of trans-corporeality by Stacy Alaimo in conjunction with Rob Nixon’s concept of slow violence and Buell’s interpretation of toxicity, this article traces ecosickness in these novels.
