This systematic review aims to investigate existing literature regarding the phenomenon of post-traumatic growth among women who have experienced intimate partner violence. Five steps outlined by Arksey and O'Malley were followed to carry out this review. These steps are as follows: defining the research question, identifying relevant studies, selecting studies, and visualizing the results. When the 3,129 scientific studies obtained from the databases were evaluated according to appropriate criteria, they were reduced to 50 articles. This article investigates the cosmopolitan discourse of Amin Maalouf ’s novel Les Échelles du Levant, published in English in 1996 as Ports of Call. Centered on Ossyane Ketabdar’s memories, the novel reconstructs the history of the Levant from the viewpoint of the oppressed and portrays the devastating effects of nationalism and national struggles on the Levantine cultures and societies.
